Bush to Visit Tennessee Again For Corker Fundraiser

Print

Memphis (AP) -- President Bush will again help Republican candidate Bob Corker raise money for his US Senate race.

Republican Congressional Candidate Mark White told the Commercial Appeal that Bush is scheduled to visit Memphis on September 27th for a Corker fund-raiser at the home of the AutoZone founder J.R. "Pitt" Hyde.

The White House generally doesn't release the President's schedule until a few days in advance and state Republicans did not return calls seeking to confirm the visit.

Bush visited Nashville on August 30th for another fund-raiser for Corker.

Memphis is the home of Corker's Democratic opponent, congressman Harold Ford Junior.
