SEYMOUR, Tenn. (WVLT) - It's going to be quieter in Seymour soon. The 411 Dragway won't be opening.
The lease wasn't renewed for the track so the drag racers have no where to race.
The operators say they're working to find a new place for racing for the rest of the summer.
Right now, many are remembering the days of racing since the track opened in 1969.
"If it does close all we're going to have left is memories," says driver Scott Abbott. "But our youngsters that we got going to the track they will have nothing to remember it by."
The group of racers are hoping that a deal can be reached so they'll have somewhere to race close to home.
