Knoxville (WVLT) - It's coupon book time in Tennessee! At least for the next two weeks.
Children will be out in full force trying to be the first to ask you to purchase your book from them...
Thursday morning, students at Brickey-McCloud Elementary kicked off the 18th year for the coupon book sale with a pep rally.
Scott Bacon, with the Office of Public Affairs for Knox County Schools says the goal for this year is for students to sell 180,000 books.
And it will take a lot to reach the goal but, Bacon says, with a lot of effort from families, everyone can benefit.
"It's still full of all kinds of great restaurant values and different retailers, offering great value, a wise investment for families to purchase and those in the community who just want to save a buck or two," says Bacon.
The sale starts today and runs through Friday, October sixth.
Bacon says last year, more than 172,000 coupon books were sold.
