San Diego (AP) -- The Marine Corps says three Marines from Camp Pendleton in California will face courts-martial on murder charges in the shooting death of an Iraqi man.
The commanding general in the case says he will not seek the death penalty.
The three were among seven Marines and one Navy Corpsman charged with kidnapping and murdering a 52-year-old man last April in Hamdania, west of Baghdad.
The remaining five suspects still face preliminary hearings in the coming weeks.
