Maryville, Blount County (AP) - Investigators in Maryville say it could take months to identify the three men killed in a flaming traffic crash.
Blount County Sheriff's Department spokesperson Marian O'Briant says the men were Hispanic and none were carrying identification.
The pickup they were riding in pulled out in front of a City of Alcoa sanitation truck on Saturday morning and was hit broadside. After the crash, the pickup caught fire.
The sanitation truck driver wasn't hurt and police said the driver wasn't at fault in the crash. The fire also significantly damaged the city truck.
Autopsies were conducted on two of the victims Monday and the other was scheduled for Tuesday. Identification may depend on a DNA match.
