WVLT VOLUNTEER TV -- The wintry weather across region has left some roads with patches of snow and ice, and while other roads are simply soaked with rain.
Be careful when out driving Tuesday and early Wednesday, because you may come across a road that has worse conditions than others, such as back-roads and bridges.
The Tennessee Dept. of Transportation is reporting patches of snow and ice on Interstate 75, both directions, in Campbell County, between mile marker 145 and the Tennessee, Kentucky state line.
TDOT is also reporting extremely hazardous winter road conditions in parts of the Smokies. The beginning of Highway 441 at the North Carolina line, all the way through the mountains and entering Gatlinburg is showing some hazardous conditions, leaving portions of the road closed.
To check on the latest road conditions while on the road, call 5-1-1 in Tennessee, as well as in Kentucky.
