McGhee Tyson Airport, Knoxville (WVLT) - A warning light, a fly-by and in the end, a safe landing.
The usual 45 minute flight from Atlanta to Knoxville got a bit longer today, after the crew on a Delta MD-80 jet carrying 63 passengers observed a landing gear warning light.
The plane flew by the control tower so FAA personnel could have a look at the gear.
The gear looked to be down and secure, so the plane came back around and landed safely.
There were no injuries.
