(WVLT) - State Police say a fifth child has died of wounds from the shootings at an Amish schoolhouse in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The latest death occurred at a hospital in Delaware. Five other girls are still in the hospital in conditions ranging from critical to serious. They were all shot by 32 year-old Charles Roberts. Roberts stormed the one room Amish schoolhouse Monday afternoon. Police say he was carrying three guns, a bag with over 600 rounds of ammo, plus two knives and a stun gun. He also brought large pieces of wood to barricade the doors. Police say Roberts ordered the boys and adults out. When police wouldn't pull back, he opened fire on the girls, and then shot and killed himself. Three of the girls died at the scene and then two more at hospitals this morning. As for a motive, investigators say he was killing young girls as revenge for something that happened 20 years ago, when he would have been 12 years old. Police are not elaborating on what that may be.
