Wamp Says Scandal Is What People Are Talking About

Chattanooga, Tenn. (AP) -- Tennessee Congressman Zach Wamp says the Foley scandal is what he termed a "body blow" to his Republican Party and doesn't bode well for holding onto a majority.

Former Florida Congressman Mark Foley resigned after the contents of his sexually-charged electronic messaging of a 16-year-old male Congressional Page became public.

Wamp says he hasn't seen a frenzy like the one surrounding the Foley incident during his dozen years in Washington.

The Chattanooga Republican says the scandal is dominating conversations between constituents and House members, who are back in their districts to campaign for re-election.
