Boeing, Union Work to Settle Dispute

Oak Ridge, Anderson County (WVLT) - At this hour, union workers from Boeing's Oak Ridge Plant are meeting to talk about job security.

The workers have been on strike for more than two months.

The president of Machinists Local 2709 says his bargaining team was just minutes away from agreeing to a new deal when Boeing added new language to the agreement.

Boeing wants the right to chose who to lay off by considering skill levels, rather than seniority.

We have a crew at the meeting and will bring you an update beginning FIRST at 4:00.
