Knoxville (WVLT) - The man accused of hitting and killing 20-year-old Morgan McCarty in a Fort Sanders neighborhood last month faced a judge Tuesday.
28-year-old Jason Stanke's arraignment was help in 3rd Sessions Felony Court Tuesday morning.
Stanke faces charges of leaving the scene of an accident.
Knoxville Police arrested him on September 28th after he fled the scene at 17th and Highland.
Witnesses say Stanke hit Morgan and then fled the scene.
Morgan was a junior at UT and a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.
