Knoxville (WVLT) - With cold weather just around the corner, you're probably thinking about how much it's going to cost you to heat your home.
A couple weeks ago, the federal utility changed its electric rate, decreasing its wholesale power cost by four and a half percent.
TVA's distributors now must decide whether to pass down the savings to us by adopting new standards.
At the meeting on Tuesday, customers learned about TVA's three choices and gave their opinions on whether it should adopt any of them.
They include: a customer being compensated for excess electricity, time-based metering that would shift power during low-usage times, and an interconnection standard.
Tuesday night's was one of four public meetings throughout the southeast, and comments will be put on official record.
