Former Firefighter Pleads Guilty to Arson, Theft

Kingston, Roane County (WVLT) - A former Kingston fire fighter charged with arson, pleaded guilty.

Glen Armes pleaded guilty to four counts of arson, including burning down the Scarborough Free Memorial Methodist Church in January 2005.

He was sentenced to 13 years behind bars but will get credit for timed served.

He also pleaded guilty to theft of property over ten thousand dollars for stealing fire fighting equipment from the Kingston Fire Department.
