Small Earthquake Hits North Carolina

Winston-Salem, NC (AP) - Residents in the Winston-Salem area were awakened before sunrise with a two-point-six earthquake which the US geological survey describes as "micro." Authorities say they've received no reports of injuries. The epicenter was estimated at three miles East-Northeast of Winston-Salem, and was first felt at 4:56am. A dispatcher at the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office says, "It kind of startled people."
