Knoxville (WVLT) - Some good news for the Knox Area Rescue Ministries, just in time for the giving season.
The Belk Foundation presented a check Thursday morning to the Knox Area Rescue Ministries for $5,000 to help support the ongoing recovery services of the organization.
Ministry workers say the timing of the gift couldn't be better.
"Excellent timing with the season. This is a time that we're really gearing, and we have a lot of the poor and needy and families come into our mission for help. Just with the holiday season, thanksgiving coming up, we're gonna be serving at least eight thousand meals. So this couldn't have come at a better time," says Julie Roe, KARM Vice President for Advancement.
