The Knox County Sheriff's Department has taken a man into custody after a standoff.
It happened this morning on Gen Walker Lane in Halls.
Deputies say they went to serve a warrant on the suspect to gather DNA evidence in a rape case out of Kingsport.
They say the suspect refused to come out for more than a hour.
He eventually came out of the house, where officers took him into custody.
