Alcoa, Blount County (WVLT) - We're getting more numbers in from Blount County this afternoon, and it looks like the City of Alcoa is headed toward getting package stores.

Nearly all of the votes have been counted, except for a dozen or so provisional ballots.

The liquor proposal received almost 1400 "yes" votes and just over a thousand "no" votes.

The Townsend vote for the sale of liquor by the drink failed by just nine votes.

87 voted for it, while 96 against it.

Coming up tonight at 5:30, Volunteer TV's Stephen McLamb gets reaction to the liquor referendum decisions.
