Wednesday morning, USAir announced an $8 billion hostile takeover bid to Delta.
The deal would make the duo one of the world's largest airlines.
U.S. Airways would call the new airline New Delta.
Delta acknowledged it has received the proposal but has not indicated if it will entertain it.
Meanwhile, you'll soon be able to get to one extra destination non-stop out of Knoxville.
