(WVLT) - The government has announced four separate auto recalls affecting more than 300,000 vehicles.
More than half the recalled vehicles are Volvo passenger cars, station wagons, and sport utility vehicles from 1999-2002 model years. A malfunctioning electronic component which can limit the car's speed to 30 mile per hour needs to be replaced.
Different problems are causing the other models to be recalled. They include 127,928 Chrysler Pacificas from the 2005-2006 model years. The vehicles may have a problem with the fuel pump that could cause it to stall. 2,258 2007 Chrysler Sebring's are also being recalled because of a problem with hood latch.
Just a few hundred Ford Crown Victoria and Mercury Grand Marquis from the 2007 model year are also under recall. They may need a technician to properly secure the windshield to the body.
If you have any of these vehicles, call your dealership to find out if yours in particular is included in the recall. You can also go to the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration's website, enter your vehicle information into their system, and see if it is under recall.
