An elderly man may have little more than the clothes he's wearing, after fire destroyed his house Saturday afternoon.
Firefighters had to shut down part of Rutledge Pike til they could put the fire out.
77 Year Old James Chandler says he was at his girlfriend's house watching football when the fire broke out.
Noone was hurt. But he'll have to stay at his daughters until he figures out what to do next.
"It looks doubtful to me that there's anything in there to be saved. There's a lot of valuble stuff but I guess its gone," said Chandler.
Fire investigators say they know where the fire started but not how.
It seems to have started outside and spread to the attic.
