Baghdad, Iraq (AP) -- A mortar attack has sparked a huge fire at an Iraqi oil facility.
Officials say the attack has shut down the flow of crude oil to a major refinery.
According to an official at the North Oil Company, two mortar rounds hit a pipeline filtering facility about 15 miles from Kirkuk. The official says the fire is burning out of control, and could take hours to extinguish, or even longer.
He says the flow of oil from all of the oil fields in Kirkuk to a massive refinery to the southwest has been stopped.
