Knoxville (WVLT) - Officials are looking for a suspect in an afternoon shooting that injured one man and sent him to the hospital.
Officials say 52-year-old Jackie Rittenberry was paying for items at a convenience store on the corner of Magnolia and Spruce, when he dropped some cash.
They say some people apparently followed him from that store, to the Regency Inn a few yards away and attempted to rob him.
Rittenberry was shot twice in the leg.
Police are looking for two black men they say may be involved.
The first was wearing a white puffy jacket. The other, a dark colored hoodie and jeans.
Police say they are following up on leads in the area at this time.
