Knoxville (WVLT) - The body of a Clinton soldier, killed in Iraq is finally home.

Staff Sergeant Daniel Morris' family will receive friends from six until eight Saturday at the Holley Gamble Funeral home in Clinton, with a chapel service following.

Staff Sergeant Morris will be buried with full military honors at Oak Ridge Memorial Park on Sunday.

It was a somber moment, around 4:30 p.m. Friday, as the body of Staff Sergeant Daniel Morris was taken off a Delta flight.

For many of the immediate family, reality is now settling in.

The body of Staff Sergeant Morris was taken off the plane at McGhee Tyson by fellow military personnel.

Family members wept as the motorcade made its way in front of them.

His father reflected on the time his son talked him into going to church.

"Should have seen the smile on that man's face. I'm not a regular churchgoer, but I do believe in God above. I believe my son is with him," says Glenn Morris.

Staff Sergeant Morris was killed when an improvised explosive device detonated next to his Humvee last Saturday.
