8 arrested in Knoxville prostitution sting

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Knoxville Police arrested eight women Friday in a prostitution sting, according to KPD spokesman Darrell DeBusk.

Police did not say exactly where the sting was conducted but said it was executed by the KPD East District Squad A between 7:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Friday.

Arrested in the sting were: Elizabeth Messer, 55, charged with prostitution within one-and-a-half miles of a school; April Rudder, 22, charged with prostitution within one-and-a-half miles of a school; Elizabeth Ross, 22, charged with prostitution within one-and-a-half miles of a school; Karen Edmonds, 49, charged with prostitution within one-and-a-half miles of a school; Mandy Holliman, 31, charged with prostitution and served with a warrant for failing to appear in court; Salley Nelson, 30, charged with prostitution within one-and-a-half miles of a school; Jennifer Price, 37, charged with prostitution within one-and-a-half miles of a school; and Lakin Russell, 21, charged with violation of probation.
