Knoxville (WVLT) - Knoxville Police are investigating a shooting that happened just after 4:30 a.m. on McCalla Avenue on Knoxville's east side.
When officers arrived, they found 28-year-old Lequssha Briggs shot in the leg.
According to Briggs, she and another woman had been drinking and were intoxicated, when they began arguing.
The suspect pulled out a gun and began shooting.
Briggs was taken to UT Medical Center with a non-life threatening injury.
The search continues for the suspect.
