Purse Snatching Serve as Reminder for Women

Knoxville (WVLT) - Authorities in Knox county are warning women to keep their eyes open, and their purses close to the vest.

It comes after a purse snatching Saturday morning in Halls.

It happened at the Wal-Mart on Norris Freeway around 11:30.

Authorities say two white men stole a woman's purse then fled the scene in a pick-up truck.

This incident is making women shoppers think twice.

Amanda Selvidge says, "I am going to be more aware of who is around me and check my car before I go near it to make sure nobody is there who is not suppossed to be."

Witnesses say the suspects left the scene in a white dodge pick-up with license plate 855CZR.
