Knoxville (WVLT) - The battle of the beasts is over in Seymour.
Saturday night we showed you how Graham, the nine year old German Shepherd with arthritis, managed to trap a bear who'd wandered into his back yard.
For 13 hours they stood their ground: Graham barking, bear staring.
But at about 2 o'clock Sunday morning, Graham's master, Bill Hays say, he heard a bark, went outside, and the bear was nowhere to be seen.
Bays Mountain backs up to Bill's backyard.
TWRA says the bear should make it back to the Smokies without coming in contact with anyone.
