Weather Alert: Strong to severe storms are expected tonight
Maynardville, Union County (WVLT) - A deadly car accident forced officials to close one East Tennessee highway Tuesday.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol says Robin Murphy of Luttrell was driving on Highway 131 in Union County when she crossed into the opposite lane, and hit another vehicle, head-on.
The other driver, Christopher Lester of Maynardville was taken to the hospital.
Police say Murphy was wearing her seat-belt.
