Knoxville (WVLT) - Three search warrants just made public today reveal new details about the double murder of Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom and how police tracked down the four men they arrested.
What police discovered and you are about to hear may be disturbing to some.
We share some of this information so the public may grasp the horrific nature of this crime and apparent disregard for human life on the part of those responsible.
The search warrants detail evidence police collected here on Chipman Street at the rented home of suspect Lemaricus Davidson.
One search warrant states victim Christopher Newsom was found behind 1701 Whittle Springs Road by the railroad tracks, within sight of Davidson's home.
Newsom was wrapped in a sheet and/or comforter and shot at least 3 times.
He was bound with some type of rope or bootlace, his shoes, socks, iPod and identification were all missing and his body burned.
The search warrant also states Davidson's fingerprint was found in Channon Christian's vehicle on a bank envelope on the back seat.
When officers arrived at Davidson's Chipman Street home, authorities entered the front door, which was partially open.
Police then found Christian's body in a large trash can in the kitchen.
Investigators removed evidence from the home including weapons, ammunition, clothing, shoes, rope or bootlaces, credit or debit cards, bedding, cell phones, iPods, and items that may have been used to start the fire to burn Newsom's body.
