Rutledge, Grainger County (AP) -- A former Grainger County Sheriff and two employees have been indicted on charges of forging the signature of another officer on a document.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation was called in to look into accusations that former Sheriff Jarius Williams, ex-deputy Scott Neal and sheriff's department secretary Donna Lakins forged the signature of another deputy on a complaint about a car accident last February.
A grand jury indicted the trio last week, and they were served the indictments Monday.
Williams was sheriff from 2002 to last year when he lost his bid for re-election in August.
More details about the forged police report were not available.
