Knoxville (WVLT) - The Knoxville Fire Department says the cause of a fire that damaged a house is suspicious.
A fire started at a vacant house on Greenway Drive around 10:00pm Tuesday night.
Darryl Whitaker with the Knoxville Fire Department says that the fire was put out fairly quickly, but that authorities are suspicious about what caused it because there's no power going to the house.
"The investigators will go in to see if there was any kind of criminal intent or if it could be an accidental fire of some sort but it's obvious with the temperatures the way they are, they're going to look at a homeless situation first and then work their way from there," said Whitaker.
No one was hurt in the fire.
