Knoxville (WVLT) - Former Knox County Sheriff Tim Hutchison says he'll retire from the department in July.
In an interview Sunday with WNOX's Dave Foulk, Hutchison says he plans to help new Sheriff JJ Jones with the budget before he leaves.
By staying with the Sheriff's Department until July, he'll be eligible for a pension worth at least $80,000 each year.
Hutchison is currently an Assistant Chief Deputy.
