Knoxville (WVLT) - Baptist Health Systems has just announced that they have hired an Illinois firm to takeover day to day operations of its four hospitals in East Tennessee.
A spokesperson for Baptist confirms that effective immediately, Wellspings Partners Limited will take over Baptist Hospital, Baptist Hospital West, Baptist Hospital for Women, And Baptist Hospital of Cocke County.
The spokesperson says Baptist will continue to look for a new partner to help run the system.
Baptist hospital is expected to release a statement momentarily; we'll have more at 11:00.
