Knoxville (WVLT) - Congressman Jimmy Duncan of Knoxville has long been an outspoken critic of the war in Iraq.
Wednesday, he was back home in his district.
Congressman Duncan says he thinks the British pull-out is a sign of frustration and expense coupled with the realization that the situation there isn't getting better.
He re-iterated his point through a 1962 quote by John F. Kennedy:
"'We have to realize there cannot be an American solution to every world problem', certainly, we want to do our part, but certainly we don't have the money, we don't have the man power, we don't, we aren't capable of solving every problem the world has or providing the defense needs for every country in the world," Congressman Duncan says.
Congressman Duncan says the administration has tried to say there is a coalition force in Iraq -- he says it's always been 95-percent American forces and that isn't acceptable.
