Knoxville (WVLT) - Mayor Bill Haslam announced this morning, in front of a fired-up crowd, his intention to run for mayor for another four years.

The campaign kick-off took place during an early breakfast at the Knoxville Museum of Art.

Mayor Haslam promised to do his part to keep moving Knoxville forward.

"We have a solid plan, I think, that's going to keep Knoxville in solid shape financially, but growing more, whether it be the South Waterfront, I-275 Corridor, a focus on East Knoxville. we're going to keep doing those things that we've been doing for four years and now we have the experience to do even better, we hope," the mayor said.

Mayor Haslam says he wants to thank his family, city leaders and the community for continued support.
