Knoxville (WVLT) -- 31 year old Jason Mclean has been arrested and charged with first degree murder.

Police say Mclean murdered 18 year old Sean Powell, also of Knoxville.

His bond has been denied.

KPD took Powell in for questioning this morning.

At just after 9 this morning a Norfolk Southern Rail worker spotted a suspicious man with a rifle at the tracks near Cessna Road off of Westland Drive.

The worker reported the man to Norfolk Southern dispatch and they stopped their train traffic and reported the suspicious man to the Knoxville Police Department.

Police have confirmed that the rifle was the murder weapon.

Last night KPD responded to a house on the 2400 block of Coker Avenue near Fulton High School where they discovered a man had been shot while sitting in a Mercedes.

We will bring you coverage through out the day today on and tonight on Volunteer TV News at 11.
