Fort Campbell, KY (AP) -- A soldier involved in the killings of three Iraqi detainees says his squad leader gave soldiers the option to take part in the shootings.
Private First Class Juston Graber testified in Kentucky that Staff Sergeant Ray Girouard called members of his squad into a meeting and told them they could shoot the men after the detainees were cut loose.
Girouard, who is charged with murder, is accused of ordering soldiers in his squad to kill the men and cover up their crime as self-defense.
Two other soldiers testified Tuesdayday that Girouard gave them the order to release the three men and shoot them as they fled.
