Kingston, Roane County (AP) -- Roane County authorities have charged a man with throwing a hammer through a car window, knocking out several of his toddler son's teeth.
Sheriff Jack Stockton says the incident occurred during a family argument Thursday afternoon.
Stockton says the attack knocked out the boy's front teeth and split his lip. The sheriff says the three-year-old told the investigating officer he had a boo-boo.
The boy's mother told deputies Steven Jason Voiles threw a ball-peen hammer through a window into her car, which also was carrying three other children.
Police charged the 31-year-old Voiles with aggravated child abuse, three counts of reckless endangerment and vandalism.
He's held in lieu of $113,000 bond.
