Canton, GA (AP) -- Authorities in Canton, Georgia, say a Tennessee woman left her 61-year-old husband, who suffers from dementia, at a fast-food restaurant.
Cherokee County (Georgia) deputies say employees at a Hardees on Georgia 92 reported the man had been inside the restaurant for about four hours Wednesday.
Deputies say Lynn Earl Tatum apparently had been left there following an argument. He had no money or identification.
Police contacted various state agencies but were unable to find a place for Tatum to say. He bunked with firefighters at a fire hall Wednesday night.
Thursday investigators took Tatum back to his home in Sevierville, Tennessee, and turned him over to the sheriff's department.
Canton is about 125 miles south of Sevierville.
