Knoxville (WVLT) - The FBI and the Knox County Sheriff's Department need your help to identify the men responsible for robbing the CBBC in Farragut last week.
According to the FBI, two black men entered the bank around 3:20 p.m. last Friday.
One robber pointed a black revolver at a teller and demanded money. Witnesses describe that suspect as 5'9" tall and weighing 180 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a red ski mask.
The other man is 5'10" - 5'11" and weighed about 200 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a black ski mask, and displayed a silver, semi-automatic pistol.
After taking an undetermined amount of money, the robbers ran behind the adjacent Kroger's grocery store.
Authorities believe these men may also be responsible for the March 12, 2007, armed robbery of the Shell gas station on Oak Ridge Highway. In that robbery, two individuals wearing similar clothing, ski masks, and black "hoodies" walked into the gas station around 8:15 a.m., they were carrying similar guns to those used in the CBBC robbery.
