Hamblen County (WVLT) Morristown Police have arrested the man they say hit two Hamblen County Sheriff's Deputies while trying to flee in a car on Friday.
An anonymous tipster provided the information that led to Jayson Castaneda's arrest on Sunday morning.
The tipster told authorities that Castaneda was staying at the Crestmore Mobile Home Park off Buffalo Trail in Morristown.
He was taken into custody without incident after authorities found him hiding in the bedroom closet of a woman's mobile home.
At just after 1:30 on Friday afternoon Castaneda was in court for charges related to passing bad checks.
Police say he fled the courtroom to a vehicle in the parking lot where a young girl was waiting on him.
As he was taking off, he hit an on duty Hamblen County Sheriff's Deputy who was trying to stop him.
Deputies chased him to the city limits where they terminated the chase.
A second deputy was hit during the chase, injuring his left knee.
The girl who had provided the car to Castaneda jumped out of the vehicle during the chase.
Castaneda now faces two charges of aggravated assault as well as the charges related to passing worthless checks and a charge of failure to appear
