Washington (AP) -- The Postal Service is unveiling a stamp that can stick around for a while.
An image of the Liberty Bell adorns the new "Forever" Stamp. It goes on sale next month for 41 cents. The rate for first-class postage goes up to 41 cents in May.
The Liberty Bell stamp doesn't display a price. Instead, the word "Forever" is used.
The goal is to eliminate the annoying need for one- and two-cent stamps when postage goes up. People can also hedge against inflation by stocking up on the forever stamps for long-term use.
