Bill Would Create Tax-Free Holidays Each Month

Nashville (WVLT) - You've been introduced to tax-free shopping on clothes, shoes and other school-related items.

But, how about being able to enjoy more tax-free shopping trips to the mall, and even the supermarket?

A proposal is in the works to increase the number of tax-free holidays and expand the current bi-annual holiday tax and possibly drop the sales tax for the months of November and December.

State Senator Raymond Finney of Maryville is sponsoring a bill that would set up a tax-free holiday every month.
