(WVLT) -- The parents of a slain West Tennessee minister have filed a $2 million dollar wrongful-death lawsuit against his wife.
Mary Winkler, who grew up in Knoxville, is scheduled to stand trial for first-degree murder next month in the death of Matthew Winkler.
Matthew was found dead about a year ago.
Investigators believe Mary Winkler shot and killed him with a shotgun after a night of arguing about finances.
Matthew Winkler's parents, Dan and Diane Winkler of Huntingdon, filed the suit on behalf of the couple's three young daughters.
Mary Winkler is currently free on $750,000 bond and living with friends in McMinnville, where she works at a dry cleaners.
