(WVLT) - Iran may delay the release of British Sailor Faye Turney, the only woman among the group of marines and sailors detained by Iran.
Iranian negotiator Ali Larijani says Britain must admit to trespassing in order to get the sailors back. He also said they would delay the release of Turney if Britain takes the issue to the United Nations Council or freezes relations.
Britain is already seeking condemnation of Iran by the United Nations.
The 15 sailors and marines were captured last Friday because Iran says they were trespassing in Iran-controlled waters. Britain denies that and has produced GPS pictures showing the crew in Iraqi waters
Faye Turney is the only woman with the crew of 15. Iran just released video Wednesday of the sailor saying they "obviously" trespassed.
