Morristown, Hamblen County (WVLT) - There's still no resolution between union members on strike at Vacumet's plant in Morristown and company leaders.
Strikers say the contract offer allows bosses to change the rules at will and gives them little help if they're disciplined or fired.
Company leaders say the company is being attacked because of the union's insistence on controlling work rules.
This statement was released this morning:
"Company representatives met with the union committee on April 3rd in an attempt to resolve our differences, but the bargaining session concluded with no change in the position of either side. There are no other meetings scheduled at this time."
