Nashville (AP) -- An illegal immigrant pleaded guilty in Nashville Monday in a crash that killed a Mount Juliet couple last spring.
Twenty-nine-year-old Gustavo Reyes Garcia was charged with driving drunk when his sport utility vehicle slammed head-on into the sedan carrying Sean Paul Wilson and his wife, Donna Wilson.
He was indicted on two vehicular homicide while intoxicated counts and evading arrest.
After the crash was investigated, police found Garcia had been arrested 14 times, four of them for drunken driving. Record shows Garcia had been deported to Mexico once, but came back into the country, again illegally.
Officials say he will receive up to 25 years in prison on his guilty pleas, but would be eligible for parole after serving seven and a half years.
