Vonore, Monroe County (WVLT) - Students at Vonore Elementary School are back in class after the school was evacuated for about an hour Tuesday morning.
The Vonore Fire Chief says the heating system had been off and when a maintenance man went to relight it, a little excess gas was released.
As a precaution, the school was evacuated around 9:30 a.m.
The maintenance man was checked out, he refused treatment.
The chief says the students were never in any danger.
