HAMBLEN COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Morristown Police Department has arrested two members of its “Most Wanted” list.
Johnnie Denton, 42 and Sharon Hawley, 36 are both from Mooresburg. On September 28th, the Hamblen County Grand Jury indicted the pair on drug charges as part of MPD’s “Operation Orange Crush.” The operation was a large drug roundup across the county that took place on October 2nd, though they avoided arrest at the time.
On Sunday, the department received a tip that Denton and Hawley were at a home on Price Drive in Morristown. Officers responded to the house just after 2:00 p.m. and took both into custody.
The pair was questioned and charged with the sale and delivery of oxycodone, a Schedule II narcotic. According to investigators, both knew they were wanted.
“They told me they’ve been in hiding and haven’t been able to work since their pictures were posted to the web site,” said Narcotics/Vice Lt. Chris Blair in a media release about the arrest. “Both dyed their hair to change their appearance in an attempt to elude capture.”
The police department said Cristyan Osorio-Delgado is the only person still wanted in connection with Operation Orange Crush. If you have any information about him, you can call the MPD anonymous tip hotline at (423) 585-1833.
