Dandridge (WVLT) - A Dandridge woman is on her way to the Vanderbilt Burn Center after her mobile home caught fire.
Firefighters tell us Nettie Strange was trapped in her mobile home on Amber Way when they arrived on scene around 3:30 p.m.
Two paramedics from Jefferson County EMS were able to pull her from the home and treat her on the scene. We're told she's suffering from burns on her hands.
The property owner tells us a neighbor tried to rescue strange before emergency workers arrived on scene.
"And, dad looked up and saw the flames and tried to get in to get miss Nettie, but she has a slide lock that she keeps across her door, and they weren't able to get in to her, so they went back to get help," property owner Kathy Ridenour said.
Firefighters initially believed there was a second victim inside, but that turned out not to be true.
Strange was flown by Lifestar to UT Medical Center, and she'll soon be transported to Vanderbilt's Burn Center.
No word on the cause of the fire.
